Over the course of the past ten years, Linda has worked in multiple settings including inpatient acute care, home healthcare and her passion, outpatient orthopedics. Treating patients in each of these settings has given Linda great insight into the expectations of recovery over a continuum of care.
Linda ran competitively on her schools' Cross Country and Track teams in both high school and college. Since graduation she has run several half and full marathons, and has even qualified for the Boston Marathon. She has also helped numerous athletes develop a love of the sport while she coached Cross Country and Track at Ramapo College for 8 years.
Besides running, Linda's interests include attending Pilates classes regularly, doing DIY projects, and spending time with her husband, two young daughters and dog. Family is important to Linda, and she assumed the role of primary caretaker for her elderly grandmother for a number of years. Between caring for her daughters, caring for her grandmother, and coaching college-level athletes Linda has experience tending to the needs of individuals over the entire lifespan.
She enjoys living an active lifestyle, and understands the frustrations of being limited by injury. Linda is a strong believer in the idea that being able to live a lifestyle without limitations is beneficial for ones' mental health and overall well-being. She is passionate about addressing a patients' deficits so that they are able to maintain or return to an activity that they love.
In order to better herself as a practitioner, Linda has taken numerous continuing education courses throughout her career. These courses include topics such as the Mulligan Concept, SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), gait analysis, strengthening core stability, running injury prevention/management, post-COVID-19 syndrome, functional assessment tools in the geriatric population, a holistic approach to treating disease through genetics, and ethics. She is also a certified Kinesio Tape practitioner as well as CPR/AED certified.
